Showcasing Local Entrepreneurs and Locally Crafted Ingredients This Fall
We are pleased to announce the following demos by our local producers this fall. All demos will be from 1 pm to 4 pm at our Granville Island location.
November 11th, Sunday, 1pm – 4pm
Sampling: Caribbean (Bajan) Pepper Sauce, Bajan Seasoning, Jerk Seasoning, and Caribbean BBQ Sauce
These products representing a family legacy that started over 200 years ago. Raphael grew up on the island of Barbados, began making Bajan (Barbadian) seasoning and pepper sauces here in B.C. based on original recipes passed down from his mother.
Come down to meet Rommel, son of Raphael, who will show you how to use these sauces and seasonings.

November 17th, Saturday, 1pm – 4pm
Sampling: Truly Turmeric Paste
Discover all the tasty possibilities of turmeric paste! Use Truly Turmeric in anything: it is delicious, healthy, and easy just add a spoonful to any recipe!
Umeeda and Nareena founded the Truly Turmeric in 2014 and devoted their passion for good food and building a a social enterprise that would help farmers to earn extra income, employ youth, improve health around the world, and produce products sustainably.
November 25th, Sunday, 1pm – 4pm
Sampling: Shoyu Koji, Garlic Koji, Shio Koji, and BBQ Koji
What is shiokoji? Tonami is introducing this delicious and healthy ingredient to Vancouver.
She will be sampling all of her delicious and tasty shiokoji (fermented rice paste) creations – natural, locally made BBQ, Garlic, Shoyu, and Original Koji flavours. These seasonings will enhance the flavour of your vegetables, tenderize your meats, and improve the health of your diet.
