
Wasabi Powder
Mixing this particular wasabi powder (the brand that better Japanese restaurants use) with a bit of water produces a better tasting, all-natural option to wasabi paste in a tube, but both are based on horseradish and green colouring (in this case natural colouring) rather than wasabi. (If you're nearby, you can pick up real, fresh wasabi at our stores). Wasabi, in any form, is good with more than sushi and sashimi. Wasabi mashed potatoes are amazing, and wasabi is an interesting alternative to mustard in vinaigrettes, marinades and rubs.
