Urfa Biber Chile Flakes
Urfa chile takes its name from the ancient city of Urfa in southeastern Turkey. Its special flavour and colour is developed through a unique process. Throughout the sun-drying process, the chiles are wrapped at night, which allows the remaining moisture to re-absorb throughout the flesh. This results in an earthy, smoky, fruity, chocolaty flavour and aroma and beautiful purple-black colour. Use in soups, stews, salads, as a rub for meat, poultry or fish, as a garnish and a table spice. Its chocolaty, raisiny flavour notes work well in sweets as well - try it!
